Student
- All student accounts are automatically created and remain active while the student is enrolled at YukonU.
- Start and end dates applied to library accounts are determined by the dates indicated in the students’ Banner accounts (course start and end dates).
Employee
- All employee accounts are automatically created and remain valid until the termination date of the employee's contract with the University.
Retiree
- Retiree accounts will start when their status is changed to "retiree" in Banner and account expiration date is set by HR.
Alumni
- Former students of YukonU may request an alumnus account directly to library staff.
- Accounts are valid for 1 year upon completion of a credited course or program.
- Alumni students can request a library account by filling this form.
Visiting researcher
- Visiting researchers must show proof of affiliation with an academic institution (university/college) in Canada or Alaska.
- Account expire date will be based on research permit issued by Yukon Government.
- Accounts are created manually by library staff upon request.
Visiting student
- Visiting students must show valid proof of affiliation (e.g. current student ID) with an academic institution (university/college) in Canada or Alaska.
- Accounts are valid for one term.
Public access (no account)
- Members of the public are welcome to use the open spaces during library hours. Study room booking is not available to the public.
- Database access is available on campus only; bring your own device and connect to the YukonU Guest wifi to begin searching.
- Borrowing privileges are available to YukonU students and employees. Members of the public are welcome to use books in the library. Alternatively, users who want to borrow a YukonU Library book can place an interlibrary loan request through Whitehorse Public Library (WPL).
