Use Discovery to find articles from a specific journal

1. Click the Advanced Search link on the library homepage (link is located near the Library main search box)

2. Enter your keywords in the first field (if using more than one keyword, remember to use Boolean Operators) .

3. In the second field, change the Search Index to "Journal Source", then enter the title of the journal between quotation marks. See image below.

4. Hit "Search" and check your results. Articles that are too recent may not be available yet due to publisher embargo.

5. Use the "Publication Year" filter in the left column to refine to more recent publications.

Browse by volume on the publication details page

1. Go to the library website at https://yukonu.ca/library

2. Click the tab "eJournals" in the Library main search box (Discovery Search)

3. Type the Title of the journal you want to find. For better results, use the exact title, not an abbreviation. For example, use "Alternatives Journal" instead of just "Alternatives"

4. Click "Search" and check your results. Click the button "Access Online" or "Access Journal" to access.  This will take you to the journal publication page.

5. Search individual volumes and/or issues.

Search articles within a journal

1. From the publication details page, look for something called  "Search within this publication" . Depending on the provider of the access, this can either be a link above the journal description or a search box.

2. If you see the "Search within publication" search box, simply enter your keywords in the search box and submit your search.

3. If you see the "Search within the publication link", click on it. Enter your keywords after the journal name, separated by AND. For example, JN "Scientific American" AND climate change  See below:
